HISTORY: Architect Jan Josef Wirch originally built Pachtuv Palace in 1765 for the Pachta family. The Palace was and still is considered *the most fabulous Baroque residence in Prague*. In the early 19th century, a classical style rooming house was built adjacent to the palace on the river, which was in turn annexed to Pachtuv Palace.
